Great rate on purchases
Customers who open a new account in September 2003 will pay a monthly rate of 0% until 1 May 2004 on all purchases made before 1 May 2004, (12.3% APR variable).

Great value standard rate
After our current introductory offers expire for purchases and balance transfers, you'll pay a standard rate at that time, currently 1.093% monthly, (13.9% APR variable).
If you want to know more about how EGG calculate interest, you can find out more in calculating rates and fees.

Add a second cardholder and enter a free prize draw to win £5,000
Add a second cardholder to your Egg Card account and you'll automatically enter you into a free prize draw for the chance to win £5,000. You'll be able to transfer your second cardholder's balances and you'll collect cash back each time the card is used for purchases.

You can request a second card when you apply for your Egg Card, or if you're an existing card customer you can follow these simple steps:

  • Log into the 'your accounts' area of our site.
  • Select 'Egg Card' under 'Maintenance' on the left of the screen.
  • Select 'Add a second cardholder' and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • The second card will then be sent to your address within seven to ten working days.

0.5 % Cash back
Every time you shop with your Egg Card you'll get 0.5% cash back on all purchases. Your cash back is credited to your account in September each year into the account from which you pay your direct debits to us (provided the total amount is £5 or more).

Savings on Egg Insurance
Egg's new insurance products already offer fantastic value for money, but that's not good enough for Egg Card customers, who also get an amazing 10% discount on household and travel insurance. So make sure you get a quote from Egg to see how much more you could save on your insurance, just for having an Egg Card.

Convenient balance transfers
You can transfer balances online at any time. Transfer balances from existing credit or store cards, loans or overdrafts, or transfer balances that your second cardholder has elsewhere. Find out how to transfer your balance within the frequently asked questions section of the site.

Simple online servicing
Managing your account online or on Egg TV on Sky digital is so much easier, and puts you firmly in control 24 hours a day. You can also e-mail EGG securely over the Internet who will be happy to help.

Interest-free grace period
If you regularly pay your outstanding balance off in full each month, you'll benefit from an interest-free period of up to 45 days on all purchases. For cash advances and balance transfers you'll be charged interest from the day the transaction goes onto your account.

Cash advances
If you hold another Egg account when you take out an Egg Card, you won't pay the cash advance handling fee. Otherwise, you'll pay a handling fee of 1.25% of the withdrawal amount (minimum fee £2) which represents an APR of 16.3% (variable). Still an attractive rate.

No annual fee Because you apply for and manage your Egg Card online, it costs us less to administer. EGG pass some of the savings back to you.
